Ariana revealed the new shoulder-length haircut (and a bunny-face Instagram filter) to fans on social media. She captioned the image with no acknowledgment of the unexpected cut, only writing, “this filter took my eyebrows away but I promise they’re there.” For the photograph, Ariana tucked one section of her freshly-cut hair behind her ear. It’s hard to tell based on the filter, but it appears that the style features a side part.
Fans are naturally shocked by the major change, writing, “the ponytail. she’s crying. she’s hurting. BUT UR OUT HERE GLOWING” and “SHE SAID THANK U NEXT TO THE PONYTAIL YASSS GURLLL.” One follower appropriately turned to Spongebob Squarepants to fully express their emotions, using an image of the cartoon character in shock because words just wouldn’t do.
